Torna ~ The Golden Country takes place 500 years before the events of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and follows Lora, a character who previously appeared in the main game through flashbacks, while delving into the history of various key characters. Both Elma and Corvin are available to Expansion Pass owners now. Elma will be joined by a new Rare Blade, Corvin, who focuses on using Smash Arts and is designed to prove useful for late-game content. Elma can be faced off against in mode, and will join the party in the base game after completing a certain challenge. Elma from Xenoblade Chronicles X will be added to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as a part of the Battle Challenge Mode. Gaining more supporters by completing quests can give players bonuses such as more crafting recipes.Īt the end of the presentation, the presenters revealed some additional content for Xenoblade Chronicles 2‘s Expansion Pass. In addition to the same level up process, campsites let players have various side conversations between the characters and create various items that may be required for quests, among various other uses. These quests are often tied to new crafting system in campsites that replace inns from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It also shows that players can return to areas shown in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, such as Gormott, which have similar scenery, but with new enemies and considerably different settlements.įocus was also given to the new Community portion of the menu that shows the various NPCs about the world and indicates various quests, as well as the party’s level of support within areas of the world.
The presentation introduced some of new areas in the game on the Torna titan, including a desert area and Torna’s capital city. Nintendo posted a demonstration video from its RedCube studio at Gamescom, where the presenters showed off various parts of the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country standalone prequel expansion.
